1)Why do I still see problem animals after the first few applications of the Shake-Away granules or the Shake-Away 30-day packs?
ANSWER: It usually takes four to six applications or (two to three weeks) of Shake-Away (applications being twice a week for the first two to three weeks for the granules) before the products takes full effect. You will continue to see the animals at the beginning of your applications but as each week goes by, you will see less activity until the animals finally move out.
2) How is Shake-Away affected by rain?
ANSWER: Light or moderate rain will not affect the Shake-Away granules but the product should be reapplied after heavy wash out rains. The Shake-Away 90-day packs are not affected by any weather condition such as, rain, or snow, they are completely weather proof.
3) How light or heavy do I need to apply the Shake-Away granules?
ANSWER: You only need to apply Shake-Away lightly around the areas you want to protect. Heavier applications do not make the product work better; you need to be consistent with your applications. (Twice a week for the first two to three weeks is recommended.)
4) Should I apply the Shake-Away granules around the perimeter of my yard to keep all animals out?
ANSWER: You only apply Shake-Away around the specific area where the animals are doing damage. Example: If an animal is eating your flowers in one of your gardens, that is the area you want to focus on treating.
5) I still have squirrels in my feeders after hanging the Shake-Away 30-day packs?
ANSWER: It takes two to three to three weeks for the packs to take full effect. It is common to still have the squirrels visiting the feeders after the packs are first set in place. You should see less activity as the weeks go by until the squirrels finally leave the area. HELPFUL HINTS: For squirrels that have been feeding at the same feeder(s) for a long time, it may be helpful to move the feeder(s) to another area, even 30’ to 40’ feet will help take the squirrels out of their comfort zone.Place the Shake-Away 30-day packs where the animals are getting at the seed or as close to the seed as possible. You can also use the Shake-Away Small Critter granules along with the packs for double the protection.
6) Will the Shake-Away granules and 30-day packs scare my birds away?
ANSWER: All birds will completely ignore the packs and granules when set in place or applied around the feeder(s), as birds do not respond to odors as other animals do.
7) Will Shake-Away attract coyote or fox to my yard?
ANSWER: No, if you already have coyote or fox coming into your yard they will smell the product out of curiosity but it will not bring in animals that are not already in your area.
8) Will Shake-Away hurt my children, pets or plants?
ANSWER: No, Shake-Away is 100% natural and non-toxic.
9) How will my dog react to Shake-Away when applied?
ANSWER: Your dog may be curious and smell the product after the first few applications but after that they usually will ignore it.
10) How do you collect the coyote and fox urine?
ANSWER: The animals are never touched during the collection process. When the animals eliminate naturally the urine is collected on tapered floors into drains. All animals are treated very well by a trained staff.
